What is Zopicon?
Zopicon (Generic Imovane) is used in the treatment of insomnia to help you fall asleep faster and throughout the nights.
How does it work?
Zopicon is a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic agent which exerts their effects by binding to and activating the benzodiazepine site of the GABA receptor complex.
Dosage: Take exactly as directed by doctors/ physician. Zopicon should be used in the short duration period.
Side effects: Taste disturbances, disruption of REM sleep, double vision, drowsiness, memory impairments, visuospatial impairments, dizziness, headaches, and fatigue.
Precautions:
Consult your doctor if you are taking other CNS depressants and experiencing memory loss while using Zopicon.
Long term use is not recommended as tolerance, dependence, addiction can occur with prolonged use.
Do not consume alcohol and operate any motor vehicle after taking Zopicon.
If you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or physician before using Zopicon.
Zopicon should not be given to children. 10. Zopiclone can cause impairments in body balance and standing steadiness in elderly.
